Port Coquitlam Saints Ready to Launch the 2025 BC Jr A Lacrosse Season

Poco Saints 2025 Season OpenerThe wait is over. The 2025 BC Junior A Lacrosse League season officially begins this Friday, May 16th, as your Port Coquitlam Saints return to the floor at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre for their home opener against the Langley Thunder. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.

Fresh off a historic season that saw the Saints make their first-ever appearance in the prestigious Minto Cup, expectations are high—and for good reason.

Leading the charge once again are President and General Manager Josh Wahl and Assistant General Manager David Kidd, who have earned back-to-back honors as the BCJALL Executives of the Year. Their steady leadership and strategic vision continue to drive the Saints toward becoming a perennial powerhouse.

The successful coaching staff from last season returns intact, with Travis Cornwall at the helm as Head Coach. Supporting him on the bench are Jeff Cornwall (Defensive Coordinator), Ian Paterson (Offensive Coordinator), and Kevin Schoemaker (Assistant Defensive Coordinator). This experienced group will look to build on last year’s success and guide the Saints through a challenging 2025 campaign.

And the schedule gets intense right from the start. Less than 24 hours after their home opener, the Saints will hit the road, heading to the Island to take on the Nanaimo Timbermen at Frank Crane Arena on Saturday, May 17th, with faceoff scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

With a talented roster, experienced staff, and the hunger to return to the national stage, your Port Coquitlam Saints are ready to make another run. Don’t miss the action this Friday as they begin what promises to be another unforgettable season.
