SAINTS STUN THE LEAGUE LEADERS WITH A STATEMENT WIN AT HOME
June 12, 2026
Some games feel like a measuring stick. Others feel like a message. Tonight at home, the Port Coquitlam Saints delivered both—loudly—by knocking off the top‑ranked Thunder 10–7 in a performance that blended grit, pace, and a little bit of swagger.

It was a rocky start against a heavyweight, facing the number‑one team in the league, the Saints didn’t blink. They struck first, setting an early tone, only for Langley to answer immediately on the next possession. That quick reply swung momentum the Thunder’s way, and they rode it through the opening frame, outpacing PoCo 4–2.
It felt like one of those nights where the favourite might slowly squeeze the life out of the underdog. The Saints had other plans.
Whatever was said in the dressing room between periods worked. The Saints came out with purpose, winning battles, dictating tempo, and refusing to give Langley clean looks.
PoCo outscored the Thunder 4–1 in the middle frame, seizing the lead and—more importantly—the belief that they could control the game. Loose balls, defensive resets, transition pushes… the Saints owned the details, and the scoreboard followed.
With the league leaders wobbling, the Saints didn’t ease off. They kept the scoring pace rolling, adding another four goals while holding Langley to just two. Every time the Thunder tried to claw back, PoCo answered with poise.
By the final buzzer, the Saints had outscored Langley 8–3 over the last forty minutes. That’s not just a comeback—that’s a statement.
