That’s a Wrap for Your 2025 Port Coquitlam Saints

The curtain has closed on the 2025 season for your Port Coquitlam Saints, as they wrapped things up tonight with an 8-3 loss to the Langley Thunder.

It was a hard-fought battle through two periods, with both goaltenders putting on a clinic. The Thunder held a narrow 2-1 lead heading into the final frame, thanks in part to the stellar play of Saints netminder Aaron Price. Price faced 32 shots by the end of the second and turned away nearly everything, finishing the night with a .840 save percentage. Stepping in as the team’s starter after injuries to Colby Hyland and the mid-season trade of Ashton Brown, Price proved himself time and again, closing out the year with a .797 save percentage on 290 shots.

Ty Fisher continued to be the heartbeat of the Saints, contributing in all zones. While primarily on offence, Fisher supported defensively as well and capped off his final game with a goal and an assist. Fellow veteran Nathan Roseborsky netted two goals in his return to the lineup. On the defensive side, the Saints showed grit, setting a season-high with 8 blocked shots to slow down the Thunder’s attack.

The Saints conclude the 2025 campaign in seventh place with a record of 4 wins and 13 losses. While the results may not have met expectations, the team showed heart, development, and resilience throughout the season.

As the season ends, the organization bids farewell to a group of dedicated fifth-year players: Ty Fisher, Jenson Jones, Nathan Roseborsky, Riley MacDonald, and Benno Wendt. Their leadership, spirit, and commitment will be deeply missed. We thank them for their contributions and wish them success in their next chapter, both on and off the floor.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you goes out to our incredible sponsors and tireless volunteers. Your support made this season possible, and we can’t wait to see you back next year.

Go Saints!
